Patty Greer is a Crop Circle filmmaker, but she hasn’t always been. In fact, it was an experience she had in a Crop Circle that compelled her to begin making the films. Patty is a musician and had no experience with filmmaking. However, she acted on the compulsion and now has 6 films on Crop Circles, UFOs, and extraterrestrials. There were a lot of great speakers, and some UFO news that was made at this year’s IUFOC. We talk about those newsmakers and dissect the significance of some of the programs at the IUFOC. If you were there you can share in our excitement to recap some of the great moments on the week. There were a lot of great presentations, and in this hour and then some, we get to a lot of the speakers, but unfortunately not all. There was just so much to talk about. John Craig and EJ Thornton are developing an app for cell phones that they hope will track UFOs. They are seeking crowd funding to help with the project, but they say they will develop the app regardless of if their crowd funding efforts are successful. Craig got interested in UFOs when he had an extraordinary sighting as a kid. He has since had more sightings, and eventually began investigating UFOs with the Mutual UFO Network. EJ is Craig’s wife, and an author, and has signed on to help him with UFO-Track. We talk to Craig about his sightings, and to both of them about their UFO-Track project and how the app works. Sam Maranto is a UFO investigator, and currently the state director for the Illinois chapter of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). He has been involved with many important UFO cases in the area, including mass sighting cases over Tinley Park, Rockford, and Chicago O’Hare International Airport. These cases involve mass sightings of circular and triangular craft by hundreds of people, including police officers, pilots, airline personnel, and more. Damien Lopez is an artist who incorporates his research in UFO and alien encounters into his art and story lines, and he has come up with a great idea on how to take online comic books to the next level. Using video and new online technologies that incorporate animation, Damien has created a new interactive, choose-your-own-adventure experience for online viewers of comic books. In order to get his idea started, he has created a Kickstarter project and is looking for backers who will receive unique gifts for their support, including getting a drawing of yourself as a grey alien. Ardy Sixkiller Clarke is the author of Encounters with the Star People: Untold Stories of American Indians.
